Disruption Zone – Episode 5: Governor Matt Bevin On Life, Work Ethic, Raising Kids And The Importance Of Boldness

Cameron and I recently sat down with the Governor of Kentucky for a long form, non political conversation. Bevin is clearly an outsider to politics, and while he stirs the extremes of emotions on all sides of the political spectrum, agree with him or not, there are lessons to be learned from a political disruptor  and dynamic personality pushing the boundaries of the status quo.

Matt Bevin comes from humble beginnings, earned large amounts of wealth through savvy business decisions and an intense work ethic and rose to Governor against heavy political odds and stiff establishment headwinds.

In this deeply personal conversation we explore his upbringing, stories that drove the development of his character and personality, what drives success and work ethic and his thoughts on raising a house full of kids, many of them adopted.

There’s laughs and deep emotion. Put your aside your politics and look deep into the heart of a fascinating person, a strong leader, a loving father and devout Christian who is shaking up politics, both in Kentucky and on the national stage.

Thank you for your interview of Gov Bevin. I love his commitment to the state in the face of and inspite of unpopular stands he must take. I no longer live in Ky but I’m so proud to have voted for him and support him in prayer as he forges ahead.
