DZ Ep 28 – James Otteson, Honorable Business and the Distortion of Capitalism

Author of several books including The End of Socialism and Honorable Business – a Framework For Business in a Just and Humane Society, James Otteson is a fascinating character, an author, a philosopher and political economist, his clear and concise mind breaks down the issues with persuading the current generation that socialism is destructive. When it works as designed, capitalism sets more people free from poverty than any other economic system, but when it becomes distorted, it can be very easy to demonize. Socialists in our academic circles are taking advantage of this unholy marriage of government and business to convince younger generations that free markets are bad, that they create inequalities and that when one person prospers another must suffer. Otteson destroys these negative myths about capitalism and business and shows a path toward honorable profit.
